Hawaiian Airlines Extra Comfort Amenity Kit

Hawaiian Airlines partnered with FORMIA and Hawaiʻi lifestyle brand Noho Home by Jalene Kanani to design its in-flight amenities with a focus on sustainability and rooted in aloha.

“Noho” means “to be, to dwell, or to come from” in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language). The Noho Home designs, inspired by Hawaiian Airlines newest Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner premium cabin, the Leihōkū Suites, brings a sense of place and comfort to both local Hawai‘i residents (kamaʻāina) and visitors alike as they embark on their journey.

International guests seated in Premium Economy receive an amenity kit made with responsibly sourced materials. The recycled felt amenity bag includes a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste in recycled aluminium tube, FSC certified kraft paper/wheat straw pen, recycled plastic eyeshades, Lōliʻi signature body products in cosmetic tubes made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, tissue and earplugs in FSC certified kraft paper, and reusable ear buds.

Inspiration for the designs came from the native Hawaiian practice of “kilo,” or careful and constant observation, and tells a story of exploration through patterns, colours, designs and textures. The recycled felt amenity bag features the “Lele” design, meaning “to fly or leap” in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiian language. It celebrates the marvel of flight and the spirit of adventure.

From the moment guests settle into their seats until they reach their destination, these amenities remind us that the spirit of aloha is always within reach—a comforting path leading us home.
