Hawaiian Airlines Business Class Bedding (WESSCO)


WESSCO International partnered with Hawaiian Airlines on its Leihōkū Business Class bedding ensemble. This luxurious ensemble features an array of premium items, including a plush mattress pad, sumptuous quilt, and soft sleeping pillow. Each element is a celebration of Hawaiian heritage, meticulously curated to feature designs by Hawai‘i lifestyle brand Noho Home by Jalene Kanani.

“Noho” means “to be, to dwell, or to come from” in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language). The Noho Home designs, inspired by Hawaiian Airlines’ newest Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner premium cabin, the Leihōkū Suites, brings a sense of place and comfort to local Hawai‘i residents (kamaʻāina) and visitors as they embark on their journey.

Inspiration for the designs came from the native Hawaiian practice of “kilo,” careful and constant observation. The quilt features the “Kilo Hōkū” design inspired by breathtaking timelapse photography of the night sky. “Kilo Hōkū” means “stargazer” in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiian language, and this awe-inspiring pattern weaves a wreath of stars, symbolising the eternal nature of the cosmos. It’s reflected in the intricate designs, vibrant colours, and rich textures, each telling a story of discovery and exploration.

This collaboration underscores a commitment to environmental stewardship. The quilt, mattress pad, and sleeping pillowcase are crafted from recycled plastics, reducing plastic waste and preventing it from polluting landfills. This initiative exemplifies luxury, culture, and sustainability, while offering guests an unparalleled experience.
